TLC Stands in Solidarity
TLC Learning Center recognizes that institutional change is required to make an impact in our larger community. We will continue to have environments where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and respected. We are dedicated to eliminating any kind of racism. As the saying goes, “None of us is free until all of us are free.”
Now is the time for us to be intentionally anti-racist, and to denounce and call out injustices that are occurring right before our eyes—injustices that impact the students, parents, staff members, and schools within our community. It’s time to stand for, and with, justice.
As we work toward creating a system that evaluates processes and programming and makes decisions based upon the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, we hope that you continue to engage with us as our organization strives to be anti-racist. TLC Learning Center stands in solidarity with all who are fighting racism in our communities.
TLC will always provide the highest quality learning environment for every child in our care regardless of race.

I began teaching in the Chicago Public Schools system in 1973. I taught Kindergarten through third grade for five years and Special Education for two years. I realized the value of reaching children early when I began teaching special education.
